Volunteer with the PTA!

There are a lot of great ways to volunteer with the Briarwood Elementary PTA!

FIRST STEP!

ISD Volunteer Background Check

ALL volunteers within the Issaquah School District are required to complete an on-line background check application. You may complete this process just once for all schools within the district, but please check the box for each school you expect to serve. Processing of your application at the district level could take a week and you will not be allowed to volunteer in the school until approval is received. Don't delay, complete your application today!  This is a yearly process July-June.

NEXT STEP!

Please review the Volunteer Code of Conduct found here.

NOW FOR THE FUN STUFF...

We are looking to fill open chair positions so we can bring more programs to students, teachers, and families.  Time commitments are flexible. If you have a friend who is interested in volunteering, team up to chair one of the open positions.  The PTA Board is here to help you as well.  We are all in this together!  Below is a list of the open positions with a short "job description".

If you are interested in raising your hand to chair or be added to our PTA volunteer list, please don't hesitate to reach out.  We want to hear from you!  Please email ptabriarwood@gmail.com.

Book Fair
  • Coordinate with Scholastic on book fair venue and supplies and work with VP of Communications to notify Briarwood Community of event.  Organize volunteers for set up and execution including preview days for classrooms, at least one evening for selling books and daytime openings.   Fairs are typically held both in Fall and Spring.

Volunteer Coordinator

  • Maintain volunteer database.  Reach out to volunteers and connect them to volunteer opportunities.
